Tips for any patient taking a prescription drug

Dr Vernon Coleman

1. Always follow any specific instructions that you have been given by your doctor. Read the label on your bottle of pills and take notice of what it says!

2. When you're not using them drugs should be stored in a locked cupboard out of reach of children in a room where the temperature will be fairly stable. The bathroom is probably the worst room in the house for storing medicines. Your bedroom - which probably has a more stable temperature - is much better.

3. Never take drugs which were prescribed for someone else. Return all unused supplies of drugs to your chemist.

4. It is wise to assume that all prescribed drugs can cause drowsiness. You shouldn't drive or operate machinery after taking a drug until you are sure that you are safe.

5. Drugs do not mix well with alcohol. If you want to drink while taking drugs ask your doctor whether or not it will be safe.

6. Do not take non prescribed medicines while taking prescribed drugs.

7. Do not stop taking drugs suddenly if you have been advised to take a full course. Ring your doctor for advice if you need to stop for any reason. Some drugs have to be stopped gradually rather than abruptly.

8. Be on the look-out for side effects and remember that if you seem to develop new symptoms while taking a prescription drug then the chances are high that the new symptoms were caused by the treatment you are taking for your original symptoms. (That is Coleman’s First Law of Medicine.)

9. Report any side effects to your doctor - and ask him if he's going to report the side effects to the authorities. The vast majority of doctors never bother to report side effects - with the result that potentially hazardous drugs remain on the market for far longer than they should.

10. If you need to see a doctor while taking a drug make sure he knows what you are taking - particularly if he intends to prescribe new treatment for you. Many drugs do not mix well together and may, indeed, react together in a dangerous way.

Disagree with the concept to take the whole course of drugs prescribed because in most cases it is over the top to maximize the ROI ! Three Erythromycin generic tablets take care of whooping cough! Over medication is a major cause of deaths from medicine!

Don't take big pharma drugs.

Weight loss plan: eat organic raw carrots, celery, apples, broccoli, and some lean beef, chicken, pork. Add some fresh organic fruit, with a moderate simple exercise routine. Drink your water and a good black coffee. You will be well on your way to losing those unnecessary and unhealthy pounds.

That's too hard. One thing I've learned in my long life is the principle of sacrifice. You have to give things up in order to allow something better in. You can't just take more things to get the same result. Like taking all the best supplements while you drink yourself to death. Sacrifice means to make something holy--or whole.

Thank you, Dr. Coleman! Spot on! Soon we will learn that it goes beyond blurred vision and includes blindness! That will only happen after the side effects and body counts pile up! In 60 years in the drug business, I have never seen a weight loss product that did its job by interfering with normal biological function! The latest one causes peristalsis Sluggishness which can result in G.I. blockage! Just one of the many harmful effects of these injections! In the meantime, the manufacturer will make billions that they can put aside for the lawsuits that are coming down the road! The fact that Eli Lilly is aggressive and is bypassing the physician and the pharmacist who are charged with protecting the health of patients and they are selling the drug directly to the potential patient makes them more liable!

The bottom line, they think they have got a winner but the truth could not be farther away.

That is fucked, anybody warn her about side effects?

I don’t know to what extent she was warned, but once you have gastroparesis there’s not much you can do but reglan and TD is a known consequence of that.

Very sad, I would’ve warned her (registered pharmacist 3 states, retired 2017).

RPh here as well, cheers. Yeah this holiday was the first I had seen her in a couple of years and I had been unaware of her health struggles. But she looks bad now.

I retired in 2017, they would have banned me from all 3 state boards now.

It’s the “sickcare industry” now: doctors go to medical school to prescribe medicine. People go to doctors to find something wrong and get prescriptions. Big Pharma has one mission: make profits for shareholders. Thank you Doctor for being one of the “good guys” God bless you🙏

At this point, there seems little hope for anyone still looking to the cult of pharma for answers to any of their problems. The belief that the body cannot heal itself (false) has created a new reality where chronic illness and chronic chemical dependency is required in order to sustain life. This is the true A.I. timeline, and many have been on it for a long time without any awareness.

My friend at work , who I was urging to try the carnivore diet for a few weeks to lose his gut , died on his feet at work , fell backwards like tree in the forest, going down . At his funeral, his brother told me he was taking ozempic.

Thank you for reposting, Edwin. As one currently taking Ozempic for diabetes, I can attest that so many of the reported side effects are legit. I’ve kind of fought taking since the doctor prescribed, but she is a strong believer of the stuff. I have an appointment my gp in a couple of weeks and intend on discussing with him as a form of second opinion. Quite frankly, I’m about done with all my meds, especially the cost. Could be an interesting visit coming up.

Many, when diet change would fix the weight issue. Just getting my Hypothyroidism under control and tricking the eye with using bread plates, cups and cereal bowls, cutting the bread loaded with fructose in half, fewer chem laden foods. 30 lbs, even my size 12 jeans are getting lose. No one wants to give up Fast Food, processed foods. All with bad seed oils. Soy is not a Synthroid friendly ingredient, all you are told is grape fruit. To many Sodas will damage your kidneys.

RFK JR is a welcomed new head for the FDA. Or who okays products and meds. Big Pharma is already in fear.
