Amy I never grow tired of reading this and I always laugh at the electric stove part. I've had to get good at it, but no it's not the same as gas! Just like I won't succumb to a propane grill! It does not taste like charcoal! It's not even as fun as all the cussing and getting irritated at trying to light charcoal! It takes from the experience! In Japan, we have continuous warnings throughout the summer to take precautions against heat illness yet are told to set the AC no lower than 28 degrees Celsius with the fan on low. My kid got sent home from cram school last week due to “fever” yet they were fine after less than an hour at home with the AC running. One of the arguements I have long had with students of all ages in Japan is over the AC. Every time I set it low enough temp and the fan high enough for it to actually cool, the complaint “eco waruii!”(It’s bad for the environment). This annual fight stretches back well over 20 years. And every year, thousands of upon thousand of people are transported to hospitals through Japan for heat illness, including from schools. The summer before my oldest entered elementary school, a first grader died of heat stroke at that student’s school. Many, I think still most, schools in japan still do not even have ACs and most that do, will not use them and those that do, set the temp at 28 or even 30 degrees Celsius with the fan on low and they wonder why so many suffer from heat stroke. Well, no they don’t; they just call those who fall out from heat illness “weak”.

Amy I never grow tired of reading this and I always laugh at the electric stove part. I've had to get good at it, but no it's not the same as gas! Just like I won't succumb to a propane grill! It does not taste like charcoal! It's not even as fun as all the cussing and getting irritated at trying to light charcoal! It takes from the experience! The sad part is the end where you say I want my life back. I realized early on we'll never get that back because it was a facade anyway. All this has been brewing for a long time. I hope they all burn in the fiery pits of hell that DO exist, along with God's wrath, whether they believe it or not! The problem is, we lost this fight as we have all others. Policies have long been implemented that not only rob of us of our hard earned money through tax payer “green” initiatives. The increased costs of food, fuel, transportation, even automobile maintenance due to ethanol added to gasoline and many others due to government mandates, regulations and prohibitions further the attack on our wealth, individually and as nations. Household appliances cost vastly more than they did just a few years ago yet their performances are so much worse that I am mystified that there has not been riots over this. In Japan, we have continuous warnings throughout the summer to take precautions against heat illness yet are told to set the AC no lower than 28 degrees Celsius with the fan on low. My kid got sent home from cram school last week due to “fever” yet they were fine after less than an hour at home with the AC running. One of the arguements I have long had with students of all ages in Japan is over the AC. Every time I set it low enough temp and the fan high enough for it to actually cool, the complaint “eco waruii!”(It’s bad for the environment). This annual fight stretches back well over 20 years. And every year, thousands of upon thousand of people are transported to hospitals through Japan for heat illness, including from schools. The summer before my oldest entered elementary school, a first grader died of heat stroke at that student’s school. Many, I think still most, schools in japan still do not even have ACs and most that do, will not use them and those that do, set the temp at 28 or even 30 degrees Celsius with the fan on low and they wonder why so many suffer from heat stroke. Well, no they don’t; they just call those who fall out from heat illness “weak”.
I share this to show that we have long been living under policies driven by this fraud for at least a generation and have suffered immeasurably for it. Yet, with this too, we do nothing.
