I too am embarrassed at the greed which has taken over, completely, totally, and the poor practices which lead to "death care."
I don't tell people I was a registered community pharmacist, I tell people I was a drug dealer licensed in three states. Thank goodness I retired before Covid 19.
I don’t know what is worst? Socialized medicine that caps the cost of medicine or the run away allopathic medicine practice in United States, which makes the cost of medicine twice as much as a cost of food. The practice of medicine by physicians is out of their hands and is being run by big Pharma who’s only goal it’s a grow in the use of prescription drugs for profit. What is ignored is the impact of big agra, big food, and big chemo on the health of humans! Covid con is just the latest push!
You’d be surprised how much good a smart, honest and outspoken community pharmacist can do in these horrible and uncertain times. I certainly spend zero time promoting their toxic “vaccines” and other garbage (to include statins and other horrible “therapies”). My patients wait til I’m at work to ask their most important questions because they want an honest answer. That’s not to say I’m not a drug dealer because I am, most folks just want their shit and could care less what I think or might know about it. But I’m there for those who DO. And the paycheck of course. As long as I’m not required to inject anyone with anything I’m ok with it for now. I got ten years baby. Then I’m out. Til then I do my best to disrupt the whole shebang. If I was 15 years younger I’d open my own pharmacy again but I’m just too over it.
Oh no I wouldn't, see, that was me for 36 of the 38 years I practiced. But, it's gotten a lot harder, and a lot easier because you shouldn't believe anything the government tells you or Big Pharma.
Our only consolation in all of this, is that by their actions big pharma and the medical profession have screwed the pooch. We are only just beginning to see the thin edge of the consequences of the destruction of the public's trust in mainstream medicine. The products that they are peddling are being abandoned. I don't think they realise yet just how much the public distrusts them. A person would have better luck going to their local herbalist or medicine woman. They have bought in laws in NZ to try to prevent this with the Medicines and therapeutics bill, which also covers all herbals, but they simply won't have the man power to police this. In conclusion, with their greed, for more profits now, they have killed the goose that lays the golden egg. If it wasn't so tragic it would be hilarious. Best advice I can give is find yourself a reliable medicine woman, grow as much food as you can, learn a useful skill and wait out the coming shitstorm. Pardon my unladylike language but warranted I think.
I retired before Covid also Edwin . Picked up a part time hospitalist job . Saw the violation of bioethics over and over . I was terminated for speaking up , lost my case due to an at will contract . I have no regrets . Malfeasance over and over was very difficult to watch .

Never have and never will.

Your view is exactly correct. Tread carefully is my best advice.
Y know I can hardly look at Docs the same way.

Yep, I don't know how anyone goes into anything medical anymore except for the money!
That new prison-to-medicine work training diversion program should take care of medical labor shortages. One man's criminal is another man's doctor.
So true, so true.
