Well it is a beautiful car and most would prefer to ride in it to a picnic destination rather than a greedy physician.

Gorgeous car! And, I really love the point you make with this piece. So much of our society is in the thrall of a youth fetish. It comes at great expense.

I was in my mid-40s when I started using readers. But why complain of it when so many of my ancestors didn't get to live long enough to have problems like that.

Best to age with grace and dignity. There's little dignity in the youth fetish. Finally, regardless of what the poet said, I intend go gently, but I'm in no hurry.

Nice car. I also avoid the Drs. 67, no vitamins, pills, but I did get a shot in my knee last week. When I started running back in the 80s everyone told me it would kill your knee. 40 years and 150 marathons later I hurt my knee going up and down a ladder. I appreciate your wisdom.

Old age is not pleasant in these evil times, you have to fight to get to see a doctor face to face you are grateful to come out of a hospital alive .The powers that be are pyscopaths and they want to kill most of us .

Like taking your car to the shop, they will always find something wrong, something a prescribed drug will mask.
