What makes me sad Edwin , is how people can say such ugliness. Civility is important so a good discussion can ensue . We used to do this at morbidity/ morality conferences or at tumor board at the hospital. What in God’s name happened?

I totally agree with you. I'm old enough to remember that the average citizens could discuss politics without being rude or losing their mind. I remember those days. 20 yrs ago, I was standing on a street corner reading the headlines on a newspaper at a newspaper stand. A man, read the headlines and turned to me and said "What do you think about that?" referring to the headlines. We had a very civil and polite discussion while we exchanged views. I really miss those days.

It’s 1974 on the Horseshoe, University of South Carolina, and we would have discussions about everything. I remember arguing with a guy about socialism, then we were on to free speech and he was one of my strongest supporters. We used to take it down the street to the Campus Club, and continue arguing over beers, and agreeing over beers, sometimes about beer. What’s wrong with people now, I’ll tell you what’s wrong, Communism.

Absolutely, communism. Here is an article you need to read, scroll down to "The Bankruptcy of the United States and read the section in quotes, ,it's not very long, it's in the document where FDR declared bankruptcy of USA in 1933:

"the Receivers of the Bankruptcy have adopted a new form of government known as a Democracy, being an established Socialist / Communist order under a new Governor for America."

If Demtard Newsom thinks he's punishing Musk by blocking SpaceX from launches in California, Newsom is once again demonstrating his ignorance, and his contempt for the citizens whose welfare he was elected to protect.

As goes SpaceX, so go any and all support businesses that are involved in launch prep / recovery / turnaround / maintenance. Those are all good-paying private sector jobs, and states run by more intelligent (and less petty) governors such as FL and TX will happily take those jobs and that income.

You think! Worse than the Communist Democrats, sponsored by the Chinese and ultimately the Russians.

“There seem to be three possible scenarios around which the history of the next half century will be written:

In the first, Communism, meeting neither ideological nor political resistance from the West, continues along its present course to disarmament, then to convergence with the West on its own terms, and so to world domination.

In the second, the West realizes in time the nature of the Communist threat, solves its own national problems, unites the nonCommunist world, and adopts a policy of open competition between the two systems; as a result, the peoples of the Communist bloc repudiate their leaders and the Communist empire disintegrates.

The third scenario resembles the second except that both systems remain intact and competition continues for a very long time.

And who shall say that unrelenting competition between two opposing systems of government, each secured by the nuclear deterrent, would not prove fruitful? But where are the statesmen who will recognize this path to possible safety and guide their peoples along it?”

He who is without sin should cast the first stone. Relax bro. You perfect? What’s the alternative to some dudes that want to make things better? You can’t run a giant country and make every decision yourself. That’s why billionaire businessmen make good presidents. They’re used to running huge enterprises.

I’m a 22 year retired army officer. You have no idea what war is like or how much I hate it. The world is and always will be run by elites. Any functioning system is run by elites. Even social animals.

Believing that’s not true isn’t reality and doesn’t lend itself to a serious debate on how to fix things. Utopian thinking is nonsense. Communists are utopians.
