When I train horses, I think about how large these animals are and that they could easily kill me, but they submit to me because I teach them in a calm, kind and thoughtful way how to respect me and that they will not under any circumstances walk over me. Step on me or hurt me or I will send them down the road. I have a 1700lb horse who respects me and looks for me, loves to work for me and is safe to ride but she wasn't always that way. She was big, abusive and would explode if she didn't get her way.
