If this don't get him killed, I'm not sure what will (Nuclear War).

Lest we forget that the 102nd Congress was held by democrats 58-42 in the Senate, and the House was 268-166. The last time the republicans controlled the House, and spending, was Jan 3, 1955, when Joseph Martin was succeeded by Sam Rayburn. It wouldn’t be until the 104th congress which began Jan 3, 1995 before the House was held by Republicans.

Thank you Sundance for such an enlightening article. The same pain felt by Donald Trump was felt by Ross Perot, a man who like Trump put his money behind trying to "fix" this broken aspect of our country!!

Oh I don’t know about Perot, he was happiest of all on his loosing that night, wonder what he got for getting back in, had to be billions.

He wasn’t able to duplicate the performance 4 years later, no body believed anything he said.

Agree with you on that point, but do believe his getting involved, although it turned out to be much more than he bargained for, was based on his patriotic nature. Remember his quip about NAFTA, the “giant sucking sound.” He believed the U.S. should lead in manufacturing and technology, not become some paper tiger, financially-based country with no “bite.”

Keep posting these Great Articles!!

Perot, if you will remember, had to find out how things were going to work, and after a sufficient period, got back in the race thus kicking it to the Democrats. He really didn't’t have a choice in it, I firmly believe and a billion dollars wasn’t nothing to turn away from, and tun to the bullet.

Thus he was happiest on election night, what a smile, what a smile.

You are absolutely right, Perot put “Slick Willie” over the finish line!

I think he really dodged a bullet, by not having the gun fired.

Imagine if you were him, the greatest story he didn't have to tell, and he got paid for it. Big smile, big smile!

You know he made his money processing medicaid claims.

I featured his campaign recently. Not sure about medicaid but he definitely founded a data processing system that he sold to General Motors for several billion. He was a U.S. Navy vet, not an Ivy League product.

I disagree, I don’t think Trump is going for the “reset” but being independent of it.

Time will tell, however.
