This reminder was such a gift! Thank you! I miss Rush and his common sense wisdom and his ability to cut through the bs. Knowing I could look forward to these things on weekdays at noon was so reassuring. I love and miss my parents so much, but if I could bring one individual back it would be Rush. I miss his good nature and calm guidance and reassurance. He was simply the best.
I recall this broadcast well. Truly, as if it were sent out yesterday. The message lived within me long before hearing the great one’s words, but at that moment, it was voiced and it echoes ever since.
Thanks Edwin. For the time being, I remain unhitched, in all senses, except that I have recently acquired an aging black houndish dog called Boomer. Oh, and the mortgage, I suppose we are hitched as well. Maybe life is about this hitching and unhitching, in a way.
I lucked out there, my prop taxes are quite low, well under 2g, a small benefit of living in a low budget end of Poortland, OR. Walk 1/2 mile, and the taxes double. When I become president, ahem, anyone over 65 will not have to pay them. Remember to write me in on your ballot. (badda bing badda boom)

He was, wasn’t he!
Thanks for reminding me of his wisdom. Heard it from him and it stands repeating forever.
Yes, it does, Keith.
Thanks for being a loyal reader!

“…those who most openly embrace the Constitution and Bill of Rights!”
God bless the Anti-Federalist. There would be no BoR without those prescient, magnificent bastards.
But isn't hitching up to ANY party giving up your 'individuality'? Just sayin'.
I suppose, but ‘hitching’ to a party that clearly lies about everything under the sun if it hurts the USA has got to be the worst.

You stay hitched to Boomer, and the mortgage, well it is optional since it will never be paid in full (even after it is, you have property taxes!!).

I’m 68, so I wouldn’t have to pay them.
That’s one vote you have in the bag!
