Agree Edwin , it goes way deeper than what Peanut represented .

Yes, way way deeper.

Evil is real and it's name is Satan. Peanut was eliminated by the benign powers to intimidate the masses. Can't help but think of that kid in Tianammin Square in 1989 who looked like a peanut against those massive steel tanks. We have a temporary reprieve, it seems, so let's not blow it. Thank you for a good article!

Yes, a temporary reprieve, time for the “citizens” of this country to show what they are really made of.

I second that!

Although Peanut was "just an animal", eh? "Animal" has its roots in the Latin word "anima", which means "breath" or "soul". Peanut demonstrated much more loving, sentient "soul" than the likes of willful, loveless/unloving criminals like Floyd, myriad other recent shooters, Hamas, and so on. Théophile Gautier on cats: "Who can believe that there is no soul behind those luminous eyes?"

Why? Because they could! Karma and Satan will be the adjudicators...

Mark Longo needs to take his case on P'nut and Fred to the ends of the earth. You never know what kind of neighbors are lurking around to cause trouble.

Years ago, my cat was on a lease on the porch. This troublemaker neighbor in our development called Animal Services saying I left my cat out in the cold. What a

disaster! I come home one day and find a post about my cat on a lease left

out in the cold. I had to get all my Vet paperwork on my cat and take it to the

County and of course pay for tags, etc. We already had tags for vaccines from

my Vet. This had to be done yearly. All because this nutjob decided to call

Animal Services.

Peanut the Instagram-famous squirrel did not have rabies, state officials say Source: NBC News

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/peanut-squirrel-did-not-have-rabies-state-officials-say-rcna179920

“It was a 10-month investigation for a squirrel and a racoon. We have murderers and rapists running the streets and they didn’t get investigations like this," Longo told Newsnation Tuesday night.

“I have to live in this state and these people don’t have the stones to give me a call to say ‘Hey, I killed your animals, also I cut their heads off, also Peanut doesn’t have rabies,’ like we all knew at the beginning of this story.”

Longo did not immediately respond to a request for comment from NBC News.

Vice president-elect J.D. Vance told a rally in North Carolina two days before the election that “I know Don’s fired up about Peanut the squirrel." He also said that "the same government that doesn't care about hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrant criminals coming into our country, doesn't want us to have pets."

P’Nut the Squirrel and Fred the Raccoon did not have rabies, officials announced — as it was revealed the animals were marked for death and decapitation days before they were seized by the state. The internet famous P’Nut and his raccoon pal were taken from an Upstate New York home by force in a raid by state agents on Oct. 30 that sparked outrage and accusations of government overreach as the pets were euthanized to test for rabies. “Results are negative,” Chemung County Executive Christopher Moss told The Post Tuesday .A newly revealed timeline shows state officials advised the county to euthanize the pets a full seven days before they were taken from their unofficial caretaker Mark Longo on Oct. 30 — even though the Department of Environmental Conservation later said the squirrel bit an agent during the raid, sparking the need for the test.https://nypost.com/2024/11/12/us-news/pnut-the-squirrel-was-marked-for-death-and-decapitation-from-the-start-as-rabies-test-comes-back-negative-in-tragic-twist/
