Because of what he witnessed, he refused to allow me to go with my friend, a retired OSU professor, to the Capitol to walk around the outside perimeter and pray while the certification happened as was the prearranged activity by the group we followed to DC.
He demanded that I look up and present my full face to every single camera on the corner of every building, and every street corner light pole on our walk back to the hotel where we were staying, as well as the hotel lobby cameras as we arrived back to the facility. He told me he wanted proof and a clear record of our whereabouts…I hadn’t seen the buses, nor the suspicious agents, and as a (at the time) semi-retired business owner still naive regarding the treacherous potential of people in general and our government in particular, I was glad to have his protectiveness over me, even if I could not at the time envision how very prescient he was.
For a bit more color; I graduated top of my class in college, oversaw a very successful financial advisory and real estate investing business for 20 years, and raised 3 children; my husband barely graduated high school, but chased his ex wife back and forth across the nation to make sure his children were safe and he remained in their lives, going so far as sleeping in his beater truck in January when he arrived in Colorado knowing no one, with no money and no job, but managing to turn it all around and eventually gain custody of all three children. He did what all good men do to care for those they love; WHATEVER IT TOOK. With that said, he isn’t in the habit of ordering me around, but at the same time, I absolutely respect the heart, guts and sheer will he has applied to get himself through life and have no problem deferring to him as the head of the house. Our perspective is from BOTH sides of the track, and we agreed, along with my professor friend and a banker friend we made there, that it was CLEARLY a set up. The whole event started very much like an old fashioned tent revival with all the shared joy, love, respect and patriotism you would expect, to the riotous mess it exploded into so suddenly at the end. As for me, it shredded all the last vestiges of naivety I may have still had regarding how BAD our government had become.
My wife and I watched Right Side Broadcasting coverage of the Trump rally and the peaceful rally outside the capitol. There were people there just waving flags, many folks from other nations as well, people with kids and people walking dogs. At one point, the reporter became alarmed as folks started storming the building and some began climbing the walls. When the smoke bombs started the reporter said he was getting out of there.
There was no well planned "insurrection". Given the knowledge that there was a large group of disgruntled protestors in DC in the days preceding and the day of Jan 6, it is unfathomable to me that our so-called intelligence agencies would have allowed even a riot to occur. There is definitely something rotten in Denmark.
J6 will not be forgotten. Its incredible that something like it could occur in America. Americans were given the right to peacefully protest and a criminal element in our government and in Washington were out to destroy the rule of law. We have now seen the lack of moral fibre and low calibre of the people during the last 4 years who took over.
I personally know four people harassed by the FBI weeks after J6 in rural PA. Those four know many more and have shared their story.
