I have been working from home for 15 years, and they are my most productive and happy years compared to my previous 9-5 corporate life. When I need to see people, I go out and see them. I see your point at noting the trend, and what the reason is, but also can say that other peoples work schedules never seem to jive with mine and I am quite easily distracted by noise/office dynamics when working. I feel my quality of work (which is cad drafting) is also higher when I am running my own business. After all, my name is attached and it's the best way to get more business, by recommend.
