I'm not sure what to make of it, because it's an incomplete assessment of the Mexican and American trade relationship. What would the trade deficit look like, if you included narcotics? What would the peso look like, if the USA shipped all of the illegal immigrants from Mexico back, or held Mexico accountable for some of those from other parts of the world entering the USA from Mexico? It would suck for Mexico to have to deal with all of their own criminals, educate their own children, provide healthcare to their own sick. Or maybe it's the other way around. Maybe the American economy would collapse, if the farm and construction laborers and toilet cleaners were sent back home? It's a good question, but if the question is not considered in the analysis of trade and economic relationships between the USA and Mexico how can we predict the real impact of tariffs, law enforcement and immigration policy.

What they were still fully stocked on were Cookies, Valentine candy, chips, and booze.
