Well, I tend to roost waaaay out on the skinny branches, but my view of American politics is that there is only ONE party. It's the party of Oligarchy, and both Dems and Repubs are playing their corrupt roles in a dog (how dare they!!) and pony show, for the masses to continue to think VOTING actually works, that candidates aren't already conflicted, that one side might be "better" than the other... On and on it's gone, since the beginning, but certainly since Lincoln, and HEAVILY since JFK was murdered.

Protocols of the Meetings of the Learned Elders of Zion . . . Protocol XVIII – Arrest of Opponents

Criminals with us will be arrested at the first, more or less, well-grounded suspicion: it cannot be allowed that out of fear of a possible mistake an opportunity should be given of escape to persons suspected of a political lapse of crime, for in these matters we shall be literally merciless.

Agree 100%. It is also supranational and involves the entire current governing structure of the planet. The WEF, big tech, etc. took it to a whole new level.

The question, is what do we do now.

Leaving the Jan 6 in jail doesn't seem like a winning solution. As a matter of fact, it is laying down on the job and recognizing the power the Democrat Socialists have gotten as legitimate.

I watched that entire day on TV. NOBODY did anything like what was said. About mid-afternoon, or maybe 4 pm, a bunch of buses arrived... full of agents provocateurs. The whole thing (nearly) was utterly contrived, all the Trump supporters were peaceful (Trump TOLD THEM to be peaceful), and I'm sure they never knew they were being set up.

Absolute BULLSHIT. That there are people in prison because of these lies is a travesty of anything resembling justice, fairness, or any other good thing.

Believe we are going to need to get behind people who share most of our concerns and are in a position to lead. We can’t do much without effective leadership strategy. Any ideas?

Well, first, we have to disavow these suspicious prosecutions, a grandma walking through the capital at the police's direction is obviously a fraudulent prosecution.

The other prosecutions can be taken care of at the president's discretion.

But the fact is, unless Senator Ted Cruz (or another) steps up, we have no hope.

The issues may be even worse at the State level, DeSantis or Noem both come to mind but it looks like an external individual to the political process will be needed.

There is little likelihood, in my view, of ANY politician doing the "right thing." Our govt. is CORRUPT. We need, in my opinion, to STOP looking to them to make things right. They are COMPLICIT. They are CORRUPT. They are NOT representing the People at all, they represent corporate power. Ted Fucking Cruz is a snake, like all the rest of Congress.

Irony abounds. That these folks were wandering around peacefully inside THE PEOPLE'S HOUSE is particularly face-slapping.

strange the democrats and their RINO's-in-crime aren't going after DeSantis like they do Trump. Gotta wonder who DeSantis really works for - Us or Them

Its not that hard to figure out.

Ron is one of them, maybe more marketable than most, but he has a family and that makes him vulnerable. What has he already done to achieve what he has. I imagine they have him on tape committing murder, rape, of small children, you name it.

Trump, not so much.

Makes sense he's on tape committing atrocities with children, with Disney in his backyard.
