I, too, am horrified at the massive loss of life in this conflict. If everlasting peace were possible in the region, I would be wholly in favor. I have no favorite amongst ethnicities. You have used the term ethnic cleansing and genocide. I am aware that there are many ways of accomplishing those ends. However, for the purpose of simplicity, let's assume you mean a quick and violent end to an entire people by means of military force. I believe the state of Israel is capable of executing such a thing. However, there are more than two million people in the Gaza Strip. There have been estimates of roughly 12,000 casualties. Many of those children. While one death is too many, this is hardly genocide or ethnic cleansing.
My last point of contention regards your opposition to the targeting of hospitals, schools, and religious facilities. I, too, am opposed to such things. However, it is well known that Hamas has intentionally used such facilities to shield themselves. If you knew your enemy, the people that will stop at nothing to see you dead, is operating and hiding in such facilities, how would you execute a plan to eradicate such an enemy?
You, clearly, are against the death of innocents regardless of the border in which they live. However, I would simply ask, If the people of Israel were to drop their weapons, tear down the wall, eliminate their army and dismantle the Iron Dome, how many Jews and Christians would remain in the area twenty years from now. Similarly, should the people living within the confines of Gaza lay down their weapons and agree to a peaceful coexistence, how many of them would exist in the same timeline.

I couldn't agree with you more, Dr. Coleman.
Edwin, while I agree with you on so many issues. I cannot agree with you on many of your points in your latest posts on Gaza. I will not call you an antisemite, for I believe you are not. I, too, am horrified at the massive loss of life in this conflict. If everlasting peace were possible in the region, I would be wholly in favor. I have no favorite amongst ethnicities. You have used the term ethnic cleansing and genocide. I am aware that there are many ways of accomplishing those ends. However, for the purpose of simplicity, let's assume you mean a quick and violent end to an entire people by means of military force. I believe the state of Israel is capable of executing such a thing. However, there are more than two million people in the Gaza Strip. There have been estimates of roughly 12,000 casualties. Many of those children. While one death is too many, this is hardly genocide or ethnic cleansing.
My last point of contention regards your opposition to the targeting of hospitals, schools, and religious facilities. I, too, am opposed to such things. However, it is well known that Hamas has intentionally used such facilities to shield themselves. If you knew your enemy, the people that will stop at nothing to see you dead, is operating and hiding in such facilities, how would you execute a plan to eradicate such an enemy?
You, clearly, are against the death of innocents regardless of the border in which they live. However, I would simply ask, If the people of Israel were to drop their weapons, tear down the wall, eliminate their army and dismantle the Iron Dome, how many Jews and Christians would remain in the area twenty years from now. Similarly, should the people living within the confines of Gaza lay down their weapons and agree to a peaceful coexistence, how many of them would exist in the same timeline.
I am not interested in trying to change your mind on the matter, as I don't believe it to be possible. I am, however interested in your thoughts on the above questions.
Mark, while I often agree with the issues presented, I recognize they often do not fully tell the story. The story is one we don't like to admit to, but, the main reason for the Gaza conflict has nothing to do with the October 7th attacks, they just serve as an excuse.
The real story is the gas field, and the powers that be have decided it is time for it to be developed for whatever reason, and Hamas that was created (by Israel) stand in the way.
This is not spelled out by Dr. Coleman, he may not know about the gas field, irregardless the killing still must stop, but clearly won't.
