This would be an excellent opportunity to test the US fighter/bomber aircraft against the latest in Russian missile defense gear, with neither side getting involved, although you know some Russian technicians are manning the sophisticated missile defense, at the Iranian sites.

Israel just sent up the ballon, Russia has to answer.

I'll bet they say no.

The F35 was designed to be stealth so all munitions (rockets, bombs) had to be inside the plane. Thus the plane is bulbous and needed huge engines to make it fast. There have been many problems with the tremendous heat generated by the engines and I understand the heat signature strongly hurts its stealth.

Russia get the military hardware that keeps Russia safe. America get the weapons systems that make the military industrial complex very rich. Which western fighter jet was embarrassed by the Russian fighter jet at the European air show a few years ago?

I don't know the answer to your question, but it matters not. The US (and Israeli) pilots fight as a system. That is what the Russian technicians may have to combat. I'll bet they are nervously watching their radar screens now.

IIRC a few years ago, one of the Russian AA systems was the most feared system by Nato pilots.

I can only imagine that they have improved significantly since then.

Nato and Israel appear to be intent on triggering WW3, so if the Russians are indeed nervous, then that will be why.

They should be! Very nervous, because only the US has a serious first strike potential, besides the political aspect of it, which they do not know is a ruse or not. The US may have been deceived, or not.

How can they know, the Biden Administration, Congress, the Senate, all may have been a plant to entice them to attempt a world takeover, or not.

Would the US wreck it’s empire with illegals, just to destroy the Red menace?

It’s how they think, why wouldn’t it be how our Military thinks as well. We have entered a very dangerous time, besides Reagan’s Star Wars, which may have been perfected, they should be afraid.
