Edwin: this was an excellent, well-written and thoughtful piece of writing. Kudos to you, sir! I appreciate the information you gave on California, my home state. I was born there in 1954 and lived there most of my life but have lived in a few other states, too. It used to be a wonderful place but became horrendously overpopulated (half the land in the state is owned by govt), fewer job opportunities and cost of living was horrendous. I would also add that it used to be mostly conservative in politics but eventually became a mecca for every crackpot in the world to go to, not to mention all the illegals - which have been pouring into Calif. since mid-1960s. Pat Brown, while a Democrat, did do a lot of good for California and you're right - hardly anyone remembers him and what he did for that once great state. The "California Dream" has sadly become a nightmare. I don't know if it will recover it once great reputation but it would be nice if it did. It WAS a wonderful state with a lot of natural beauty throughout the entire state.
Well, this is a great article, smart, well-written...
I tell ya what, tho: I'm wondering WHEN ANYBODY IS GOING TO DO ANYTHING.
And I don't need or want to be "governed" or have some elected-or-not stranger telling me what I have to do or not do. I would like to see all of us back off to LOCAL societies when it comes to how we're going to live and let live, and stop giving away our power to people who get elected and then forget all about how they got there and what their responsibilities are.
The system doesn't work. It just doesn't. Perhaps in a few thousand years when we've outgrown the Power Trip and letting MONEY be our GOD... Maybe someday we can go back to great, huge, vast societies... But in my opinion we ain't there yet. We've got a helluva lot of work to do, and so far, I don't see very many people really DOING much... Mostly talking, or writing what they think or would say, but action? And they all complain about how the majority is just getting jabbed and being stupid... What the HELL is anyone really DOING? I don't see it.
Uprooting people, pushing us into fleeing, seems a main goal. I too am choosing the devil I know, ie, staying in my city for now. And most cannot afford to leave, anyway.
Noticed all Biden's mumbled speeches are full of NO hope only fear, even in the darkest days of the Great Depression and WW11, FDR's like Trump's are Positive.

180 degrees is 100% correct. Lived there in the 70’s . What a psyops now .
It is so backwards I don't even comprehend it anymore. And I've never lived there.
Insanity and it’s bleeding into every state and country worldwide.
So goes California, so goes the world.
Perhaps it will fall off into the ocean and save us all the trouble.
The world may have to follow
It wouldn't be a big loss!
Agree

I don't get jabbed for nothing. Period, no matter what. That is the first rule. Go with that and you will win, maybe all the battles.
First, you have to stop being stupid.
If you win this one, you might have a chance at the next.
Well, okay then. Thanks.
