Once you see a pharmacist give Covid shots, or stand idly by while helpers pull the trigger, any faith that they have more discretion than doctors is gone gone gone.
The role of Pharmacists and Physicians and all the allied medical disciplines are being managed by Big Pharma and Big Medicine. Fifty years ago, a Purdue Pharmacy Professor made waves when he declared that the US Post Office can become the only source for prescription drugs. Moving closer to it with Amazon now entering the dispensing of Rx drugs! If the Crispr crowd gets their way and we transition out of oral medication to injectables, we will have a sea change in the roles of all the medical professionals. As long as they can continue to convince our clowns in DC that they have the answers to treating disease states, I see us going down the wrong road in medicine. They ignore prevention and reversal of disease states as the answer. I crossed over from believing in them to understanding they are the problem.
Pharmacists can barely keep up on their own CE requirements, so I'm not sure how they could benefit the Doctors. But hey, "Pharmacy will do it for free" has long been the cry from our "leaders."
Not to long ago, it was a CRIMINAL ACT for a doctor to receive ANY benefit in exchange for prescribing any particular drug. Not too long ago, pharma was PROHIBITED from advertising their wares directly to the public.
Now, all of this is permitted. And the consequences have been catastrophic to "public health." And this guy's answer is to further centralize control, ostensibly placing it into the hands of the pharm/medical complex (i.e., he wants to curtail still more "freedoms" of the prescribers and the patients) and hand this control over to those who already control the AMA, FDA, CDC, etc., i.e., PHARMA.
Why don't we go back to the "good ole days" when these conflicts of interest were PROHIBITED? Why not go back to punishing doctors who take bribes for prescribing dangerous drugs? Forcing doctors to be ETHICAL is an option here. But it appears this guy wants to blame the victims.
