I mostly agree with the idea here. But it's a real turn-off when men feel they need to insult women (or teen-aged girls) to make a point about manliness. Of course, teen-aged girls don't generally behave like grown men, thank Dog, but why is there a need to insult the girls? I've heard this sort of thing all my life, and it still rankles.

Daddy Government and Mommy Medicine. And/but/also, ALL of government — not only *one* party — is structured as an authoritarian/official/expert, to police and control the masses. And so given a lifetime (and previous generations) of infantilizing programming literally built into social constructs, it's really no surprise that people are so willing to choose their Stockholm Syndrome "parents" from the age-old, blue-and-red dichotomy. Two wings of the same dragon.
