A "gigantic" new ICBM will take US nuclear missiles out of the Cold War-era but add 21st-century risks

You have no doubt seen this in the news. The LGM-35 Sentinel is the proposed missile and, to put it mildly, it is not “gigantic” in any way. As a matter of fact, it has capabilities less than that of the current Minuteman III. These capabilities include the fact that it is a single warhead missile, which replaces the previous Minuteman which could carry 3 warheads, independently targeted. Now the fact that the Minuteman was downloaded to a single warhead, and the associated equipment which allowed it to be re-armed to three warheads was destroyed.
So, we aren’t adding any capability. It’s not like we are getting ready to place modernized Peacekeepers in the ground, with their 10 re-entry vehicles each at 300 kilotons or even the upgraded W-87 to 475 kilotons.
The photo above shows a Peacekeeper “bus” with ten loaded warheads.
Our enemies, Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, the latter two should be dealt with as a deployment of Russo-Chinese forces, are building silos and missiles like sausages.
We have the RS-28 Sarmat which is said to weigh in at 208 tons, as well as the Chinese DF-41 (10 MIRVS) in both road mobile and silo based versions as well as testing a rail mobile system.
These are just two of their deployed systems, it should be obvious to all that a single warhead missile is all we’ll be permitted to develop, at mind bending cost!
I'm at a loss for words to describe what's happening. I was in USAF stationed at FE Warren when we were bringing the Peacekeeper online. And all that entailed, the retrofitting of old Minuteman 3 silos to accommodate a Peacekeeper that was much, much bigger. I've been in the silos and the LCF's that control multiple silos. While I wasn't a missileer many were my colleagues, many were my friends. I knew our mission. And why the Soviets backed down when faced with the technology. It wasn't rock and roll and blue jeans.
I'm disgusted. The money that a complete system overhaul costs, and goes to the best connected vendors is obscene. And when replacing old technology with technology made by our enemy as will happen, not if, is sabotage. That's it, that's the word I was first searching for. What's happening is sabotage from within. Dare I say treason. That a whole lot of defense and construction contractors will make a fortune from.
The only argument Against Nuclear War is that the ChiComs want productive farmland to feed their population, as well as land for their overpopulated population to "Settle" in.
Tin Foil Hat Fantasy??? Ask the Native Americans about overwhelming population Replacement.
As Russell Means said in one of his last videos, "We are All on the Reservation now"......and that may be too optomistic.
